He received a bachelor’s degree in Communications and went on to receive a Masters in Business Administration, both from the University of Illinois – Springfield. He is a member of the Prince Hall Masons and a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. He founded the Friends of Omega Foundation to give back to his community and make an impact on the most important commodity in our society today--our youth.
